Kovai Kondattam (Amusement park)
The Kovai Kondattam amusement park is 2km from Perur in Coimbatore This eco-friendly theme park is one of the places to visit in Coimbatore for sure. Built by Tamil actor Vijay, this fabulous park is the go-to place for picnics, parties, receptions, weddings, corporate conferences, and live performances. Thousands visit this site every day, and you will be spoilt for choice between several rides like the Wave pool, Dashing Cars, Rock Climbing etc.
Marudhamalai Temple
Devoted to the Hindu god Lord Kartikeya or Murugan, this 1200-year ancient Dravidian style temple is located 500-ft atop a hill with the same name. Part of the Western Ghats, this temple offers a panoramic view of the surroundings. Its colorful ceiling or gopuram is something you must savor. This hill is a thriving hub for medicinal herbs that are used in various Ayurvedic medications.
Day 2
Anamalai Tiger Reserve
The Anamalai Tiger Reserve, now known as the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, is in the Western Ghats close to the Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary and Eravikulam National Park. You can catch glimpses of leopards, tigers, gaurs, elephants and the Nilgiri langurs, the lion-tailed macaques and other bird species. The picturesque Top Slip, which is 244mt above sea level and the Elephant Camp are major crowd pullers in this reserve.
